This auto repair shop is the best, they know what they are doing,its clean, friendly, and honest. I tell everyone about this auto repair shop.They are great.

We have been going to this place for the last 10 years. Ernie and his team always takes good care of our cars. The price is spot on and service is always done with a smile. On February, I had to bring my car because of bad back brakes. It was unplanned. I told the mechanic that I needed the car by 4:15 because of an already scheduled event and they had it ready by then. I highly recommend this place.

On 10/9/2015 I took my van into Ernie's shop he was very helpful and honest he did a dyanostic check and found that my gas cap was broken and my check engine light went off after replacing it, that was a big relief to know it wasn't something more serious!

Did what I asked and they made it better.....thanks again guy's and gal.

This is a family business and they are all very knowledgable. Ernie takes the time to explain the issue and even show you a part that they are replacing and why it's worn out, broken etc. They (in my experience) can take a little longer than normal but that is replaced by quality service at a low cost. I am okay with this approach. They generally start (when troubleshooting) at the cheapest fix and work up from there; all the while keeping costs low for the person bringing in their vehicle. Overall I'm impressed with Ernie and team. I continue to take my cars here.

If I could give 10 I would. GREAT GREAT GREAT. My sister and I met Ernie (father) and he took our rig in and evaluated it and taught us what he was doing and WHY. Not once did he ever look down on us like a lot of mech do to women. But treated us with dignity respect and most of all honesty. We will be lifelong clients. I have full confidence in his suggestions and work. Really excited about finding this jewel of a place.

Any time we have need of mechanical work on either of our cars, we take them here first. The guys at Performance Specialties are fantastic! They are all very knowledgable and don't try to convince you to do things that are not really necessary. Even though they are always busy, it rarely takes more than a day to get the work done, and is always less expensive than we think it will be. Ernie knows how to run a "well oiled" shop (pun intended) with honesty and integrity. As long as we're in the San Diego area, we will always take our vehicles to him to get them fixed correctly the first time.

Pretty good. Sometimes their parts seem to be overpriced however sometimes they are cheaper then everywhere else in town. Honest, the only reason why they don't get 5 stars is because they always seem to take FOREVER to call me back.
